Healthy Types of Meat
Everyone knows that eating a healthy diet is important, but many people don’t know what types of meat are the healthiest. Healthcare for dummies is knowing this. The good news is that there are plenty of great options out there!
Grass-fed beef: Organic, pasture raised beef has more vitamins and minerals than conventionally grown beef because it eats grass instead of grain which can increase heart disease risk factors in humans over time.
Free range chicken: Free range chickens have been shown to produce less methane emissions as well as being more nutritious.
Here are some other great types of meats to consider adding to your diet if they’re not already there! Lamb, bison, turkey and duck are just a few that we recommend trying out. They’re all tasty alternatives and have plenty of health benefits too!
In case that you prefer to buy your meats from the grocery store, here are some meat labels to look for when you’re shopping.
Grass-fed: Organic and pasture raised beef will have a grass fed label on them. This is important because it can be difficult to tell just by looking at it!
Free Range: Free range chickens come with this label and means that they’ve been allowed access to the outdoors which increases their nutritional content as well as lowers methane emissions.
Organic: Eating organic foods has shown an increased resistance against food related illnesses such as E coli or salmonella in humans. So if you can’t afford all organic products then start out slowly by buying what matters most first like eggs, milk or red meat before moving on to the other.
If you like fish, it’s important to note that wild caught fish is safer than farmed fish because it isn’t processed with as many chemicals.
