Wash & Fold Laundry Service

One of the most popular services provided by laundries is the wash & fold service. The reason for this is that the service is affordable and convenient. The service involves 3 steps:

Step 1 : Washing

Clothes and other laundry items are washed together or separated into loads that are placed on a wash cycle in an industrial laundry washing machine. Items from different customers are not placed together in the same machine, ever. Most typically, a cold wash is selected for dark and colored items. It is possible to request a warm or hot wash for white or color fast laundry items.

Step 2 : Drying

Once the wash cycle has ended, the clothes are placed in an industrial drier. Industrial driers dry laundry faster and are able to handle bigger loads in one go. Once again, items from different customers are never placed in the same drier. The cycle can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the size of the load and the type of items being dried.

Step 3 : Folding

The laundry is removed from the drier and folded immediately. Most types of clothing items will not need to be pressed or ironed if they are folded straight from the drier. The laundry is then placed in a bag and tagged with the customers details.

The option is available to either drop-off and collect the laundry or have it delivered. The washed and folded items are ready to be packed directly into the cupboard.

Other special request options are also available such as stain removal treatment or special washing instructions for delicate clothing items. However, if a specific laundry item has special washing instructions, then it is recommended not to place it in the same load as a wash & fold service.
